Mahoutsukai Precure’s Mofurun was a damn good mascot. Where many Magical Girl mascot characters can feel like side characters, Mofurun absolutely felt like a major part of the team. And then the movie took this one step further. While she was able to contribute to battles in her own way before, the movie allowed her to stand on equal terms with her teammates. The movie’s story is kind of just an excuse to separate her from the team for a little while and allow her to shine on her own, but the payoff is definitely worth it.

The movie also has Haa befriend a Digimon derpy dragon. So that’s good.
