Sometimes something comes a long that generates a crazy amount of hype. Your Name definitely falls into that category. This November there were a bunch of UK screenings. So I jumped on the chance to see it.

It’s really good. I deliberately went in knowing next to nothing about it, and was still pleasantly surprised by just how much I liked it. It’s super pretty to look at, tightly plotted and surprisingly funny at points.

I liked it so much that I made a point of going to see it again a couple of weeks ago, and I think I actually liked it even more the second time around.

Is it the #1 best anime film ever made? Probably not, but it’s really dang good.
